Do You Listen To Nature?
In Ayurveda teachings listening to nature and following it’s flow is how you keep the body in balance; nourished, rested, healthy and strong. Diseases occur when the body is out of balance and stressed in a certain way for too long. When is the last time you stepped outside in nature and just listened? You can get an inner sense (consciousness) about what your body needs just by connecting with natures flow. Every season, there is change and nature flows into transformation, which gives us a menu of how to respond in our bodies. Step outside and take in the sounds, sights, and smells; the wind, the cool air, the sounds of the birds making their calls to migrate, the animals rustling around to prepare for colder days and nights ahead. The death of summer blooms give way to colored leaves dawning, as well as the crispness of life chilling in it’s roots grounding down for the upcoming winter. This is the time to stop running around and start slowing down, grounding down for the colder darker days. Eat warmer more heavy, oilier and nourishing foods. Get more sleep, and do self body care like Abhyanga (warm oil self body massage). This is following natures flow for Fall and keeping the body strong, healthy, and full of vitality.
Peace and Blessings,
